Rented the condo for the weekend. Kept reaching out to the owner to get our code, never sent anything.
Took our money, and when we called VRBO customer service, they could not reach him either. So were staying on the mountain at Wintergreen resorts, VRBO was absolutely NO help. Then they said they would put us up in a Days Inn 45 min from the resort. When we arrived it was the biggest *** hole I have ever seen.
Kind of place that rents by the hour if you know what I mean. We went across the street to a Residence Inn Marriott. Cause I cannot have my wife and three kids getting bed bug from Days Inn. This has been the worst day of my life and tomorrow is my Birthday which my family surprised me with.
VRBO did absolutely NOTHING TO HELP. Now Im trying to get a refund and they say theres a process??? Asked what is the process... they dont know.
I feel like Im in the Twilight Zone. Asked to speak to a manager, not one is available. I am shocked that this company even is still in business. As a business owner, I know what it takes, and if Im rating this company from 1-10 there at a negative 20.
Thats how bad our experience has been. They will be hearing from my attorney on Monday, and the newspapers. BBB, the list will go on. Time these companies haves some reckoning for there lack of service, feckless results and poor management.
I mean all we needed was a simple 4 digit code to get in.
No back up plan, no master code, nothing. If your thinking of a nice trip for you and your family, I wouldnt use vrbo.
User's recommendation: Use anyone else other than VRBO.
Monetary Loss: $772.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Vrbo Cons: Will not work with you on clear mistakes on the company, House grossly misrepresented.
